Though not an official gig, Chorna Roza contributed to the celebrations on the anniversary of Ukrainian independence at Olympiada (a summer Ukrainian sports camp) with a spur-of-the-moment performance. They followed a great set by The Ukes, a three-piece band headed by former Ukrainians accordionist Stefan Pacicznyk, who rocked the house with some great music. After they had finished, Chorna Rozha were encouraged to get up on stage and add their own brand of zabava music to the night. The guys had great fun knocking out a few of their tunes for a very receptive audience.
